The Garter Girl

Mark Twain once said that "often, the less there is to justify a traditional custom, the harder it is to get rid of it". We can not agree more when it comes to the traditional wedding custom of the new groom retrieving the Garter from his bride's leg and tossing it to the crowd for good luck! While we sometimes don't understand this custom, we simply can not vanish it!

So we at Garnish think that its time to reintroduce this tradition. We must admit that we did not come to this conclusion on our own, we were inspired by Julianne Smith, the creator of The Garter Girl. The Garter Girl is helping this tradition stay alive, one couture inspired garter at a time!

The Garter Girl has turned the Garter into something classy, memorable and unique to every bride. The line of garters come in simple, modern and elaborate couture styles. They range from simple grosgrain and satin ribbons to lace, feathers and even jewel centered flowers! Each piece in the collection really is a work of art. Did we mention that many of the pieces come in a set of two, so don't worry that a lucky bachelor will be leaving with your memento!
